Our Language, Our Pride
‘Our Language, Our Pride’ was the theme on Monday, December 18, 2017, when the whole KFS community celebrated World Arabic Language Day.
The festival started with parades, and kept getting better and better. During the parade, the little ones carried balloons, with the letter (DHض), a sound found only in Arabic. The older students carried signs and flags, but they all chanted the praise of the Arabic Language.
It was a whole day event, where students deserved standing ovations for their outstanding performance in Plays, Poetry and speeches. Arabic Art and Calligraphy completed the picture of pride.
Non-Arab Teachers joined in, expressing their love for Arabic. A large number of parents watched, with pride, as their children shined. Teachers and staff were present all day to make sure everything was in order.
The Director General gave a speech, at the end of the celebration. He thanked students, teachers, staff and parents for the wonderful event.
